Nos es altamente satisfactorio comunicar á Ud. que con fecha ocho de los corrientes nos levantamos en armas en la Villa de Quimixtlán, distrito de Chalchicomula para defender la causa bendita de la Democracia, así como para atacar á las cuadrillas de bandoleros que se han levantado con perjuicio de nuestra causa. Al ponernos á sus órdenes le reconocemos como nuestro supremo Jefe, protestándole lo necesario, y poniendo desde luego en su conocimiento que dimos principio á la misión que voluntariamente nos hemos impuesto, con treinta y cuatro hombres mal armados pero dispuestos como nosotros á sostener la autonomía Nacional y la soberanía del pueblo. Los lugares que hemos tomado hasta esta fecha son los siguientes: -Quimixtlán, -Chilchotla, -Saltillo Laragúa, -Maravillas, -Cuautotolapan, -Tonextepec, -Xaltepec, -Quechulac, -Mineral de la Preciosa, a este último punto llegamos ya con ciento veinte hombres montados y armados.
