Nature

The Iskonawa have a close relationship with the nature that surrounds them. The Amazon rainforest is more than a backdrop of their lives. There is in fact a dynamic relationship with high social value between the people, hills, animals, plants and spirits.

This collection includes files where the Iskonawa narrate and sing about the Roebiri hill as well as animals such as sachacuy rodent, hualo toad, and many monkeys. Emerging among these animals are ancient characters of the oral Iskonawa tradition as the paucar bird, Pani macha sloth, Kene iro boa.
